Another two songs IMHO that Johns voice does justice to are Dance With Me and A Women On A Stairway from the Golden Section era. He sounds as though he's putting 110% into these two songs and I find them very moving in a romantic sort of way.

I'd say The Golden Section is his best album from a vocal point of view. It certainly shows his diversity and vocal abilities.

I love 'Hanging in the Air' and 'Your Dress'....
In a romantic kinda way.. Sigh....

Also 'Camera' shows some great vocal control.

That said, I do like his early vocals on Metamatic.

Camera and Nightlife are both interesting choices, particularly since a lot of the vocals are synthesised in that 'Cher' way.

In line with Sarah, as in romantic way, I loved 'Stepping Sofly' off IMW. Now I know this is not the Foxxy norm, but I remeber thinking at the time that he'd out Paul Young'ed Paul Young on that one. (I am now getting my coat and putting it on, diehard Rockwrok fans!)
