Thanks Nervejam you've just made me smile. You're publicly admitted what I've always suspected about newspaper horoscopes. smile

Let's just say that astrology does not stop (or even start) at newspaper horoscopes. Like saying that modern music is all about pop charts or something.

It never fails to startle me when I see people taking astrology seriously. But society still considers it impolite to question people's religious beliefs, so forget I said anything.

The main significance of John's birthdate, as far as I'm concerned, is his age -- how many more productive years does he have ahead of him? He hasn't had a new album since November or so, and I'm getting concerned....

Yeah, I'm not sure we could all stand another waiting period for so long!

Last year was Johns most produtive, so nothing since november does feel strange. Maybe hes recorded another seven or eight albums now ready for release, or not laugh ..

If your logic was correct that would make John younger than me. I tend to go along with Alex and I'm going to guess around 1952 which to me would seem a nearer/fairer date.

Not knowing adds to the mystery of Mr Foxx.

To help a bit here, in a recent interview Billy Currie told me that John was older than the rest of Ultravox (and Billy was born in 1950). I remember Billy saying something along the lines of how shocked they all were when John turned 30 because the rest of them were still in their twenties.

It's interesting how his age is something which has never been disclosed by John. It's also interesting how his recent live album had a picture of him from at least 10 years ago. What does this suggest about John's attitude towards aging?! smile

wow..that's quite an insight. That means he turned 30 even before 1980 ..so born in the late 40s? Again that would sort of seem right in the present but at the beginning of jis oslo career he seemed a LOT younger than, say, 32!

Well when you hear John talking about the sixties, his days at art college and influences all in the run up to starting Tiger Lilly, it makes you think he would have to have been of a certain age.

He could easily have been 30 in 1980 - then again he has very sharp, mature features, so I guess even when he was younger he looked older than he was.

Even if 2007 puts him in his late 50s, he is still very youthful and dynamic in himself. A prime example of being as young as you feel!
