Hidden anger is probably not the right word. John had an intensity when he was singing that seemed to be poles apart when he was signing autographs and talking to us fan's.

Yea, there were not many girl's at the gig. I was lucky where I spent most of the night ( after I was glued to John at the start right at the front)- about 15 ft feet back right in the walkway there were about 3 babes dancing and screaming along with me and my mates.
That position seemed to combine the itimacy of being close to Foxx with the power of the great PA system they had.

Girls generally don't get into John Foxx. None of my girlfriends ever likes him. My wife has had to suffer listening to him for 20 years now and she just thinks his muisc is too leftfield and weird.

I'd say there's quite a lot of female fans here in the UK. You do see them at gigs ready to throw their underwear at him

The mike on my camera was overwhelmed. Had I known, I would have tried muffling it somehow. Oh, well, next time I'll get a digital video camera instead.
Same here. I knew a few girls at uni who were into Bowie in a big way but they just didn't find Foxx appealing. I would have thought the sound of his voice and his more intelligent lyrics attractive. But obviously not. Even my wife isn't interested after nearly 19 years.

Perhaps if he changed his name to Tom Jones.

I suspect the ones here are long time fans. Perhaps most of the female fans in that age bracket couldn't attend because of family commitments etc.

I'd love to hear some comments from female members here. Are they older or newer fans? What appeals to them, etc.
