Grey Suit Music (he! he! he!)....it's funny 'cos it's so obvious. I'm sure it must bring a smile on John's face! laugh

IMHO the artwork is generally very good. Some hot ones here!

Thanks Olaf!

i also think that john will smirk , if he would see especially that "grey suit music" image ! *hehehe*

btw : i still have another one in mind , but as i don't have a grey suit myself , i sadly couldn't make it come true right now ! :-o

some more of my stuff will follow next week(end) ... maybe ... perhaps ... ;-)

Hi Olaf

That is stunning artwork!

I know who I need to approach when I get enough of my own music together to need a sleeve designer!

Best wishes

Here's some of my own artwork.

Back cover, "Evolution":

I like this one.

Image from my work in progress page:

Can you tell what it is yet?

Front Cover, MachineMusic:

It's NOT a straightforward bridge shot..

it looks like a mixing desk or audio mixer of some kind ! ;-)

btw : not bad , paul ! :-)

---

mainly because of another thread here about the subject of ( favorite ) cover artworks , i like to post some images here that i've actually - erm - jus' "stolen" from john's original cover artworks & transformed a bit further - so to say ! ;-)

see for yourself now , fellows ...

It's not a mixing desk.

It's actually the optical fibre terminators on my network rack, with the colours messed about with.

The angle disguises it.

Looks good! laugh

Please note that tracks 1-16 are 1983, and the rest are 1985. Apart from the 'bonus tracks'. Oh and the 6Music thing, which was a re-broadcast from 2005.

yep , that's why i wrote "1983" in between the trax on the one side , where the trax 01 - 16 are listed & "1985" in between the trax on the other side ... if u know , what i mean !? ;-)
then i left a space & continued with the bonus trax , which are neither from 1983 nor 1985 !

Interesting artwork, but as a package CD 1 heavily outweighs CD2, which only has four songs? Tracks 5-8 are not from BBC Radio 1, either :p

What's interesting is how the songs inspire different visuals in people.

I mean I like these images, but for me they do not relate to my interpretation and understanding of those songs. frown

that's okay , because as u so rightly said before : different visuals are created in the people's heads ... & also because english is not my mother tongue , i may interpret some lyrics & stuff quite differently to what u or other people may hear & see in it ! ;-)
