Hi!

Just wanted to say just that!

Short introduction would be like:

Male, Swedish.
Been listening to Mr Foxx since The Garden.
(actually since I saw the video to Dancing Like A Gun).
An almost psychopatic interest in electronic music (if you ask my wife) :p .

Ehmm... that's it really.
Don't know what to add...

Well, feel free to ask!
I'll answer anything.

Now here's a question for you guys,
If you like John Foxx, does that automatically
make you a fan of Ultravox!, Ultravox & Visage ?

Cheers!

Hi Numanx
Welcome.
There as been many debates about the different era's of Ultravox. I love the music of John and I've never been that keen on Ultravox since John left. I'm not for one minute saying Midge is bad but it's just not my "cup of tea"
So IMHO liking John doesn't automatically make you a fan of the others.

Hi numanx,

I like Ultravox! more than I do Ultravox, but I did buy & do like Vienna & Rage In Eden albums. The other Midge fronted albums are too mainstream, so I don't bother with those.

I like Visage, also. Does anyone know if THE ANVIl album was released on cd? If it was, did it have extra tracks like the brilliant Motivation?

Hi!

Yes, The Anvil was released on CD, twice.

The most common is the US version released in
1997.
We Move (Dance Mix) & Frequency 7 (Dance Mix)
were the bonus tracks.

There's also a much rarer german release.
Can't say what year it was released, but
i think it was 1985 or 86.
No bonus tracks.

Cheers!

Hi,

Not really for me. I loved Ultravox!, have all the vinyl - but the music went in the wrong direction for me when Midge came along. Nothing against Midge (have met him, very lovely man) but I always preferred the edgier Foxx incarnation of the band.

The 80s went a bit wayard musically, I think. Personally - what's going on right now really excites me, Foxx and Gordon, the TCM ethos and so on...
