I must admit I wasn't impressed with that song at all.

I quite like that. The melody line sounds like something else I've heard. Just can't find the nanobox inside my head to access it.

Pretty hard to judge a new track on this performance and in a 'live' setting recorded on a phone... eek it sounds completely rubbish!!

I've just downloaded the MP3 single.

Let's get straight to it - it's very camp. It's even got "trousers", "cheese" and "cornflakes" in the lyrics, albeit in good humour (but in almost a decade, is this the best lyric Phil Oakey could come up with?!). It's ridiculous, but it works.

The girls still can't sing, yet they add to the distinctive sound of the League and it just wouldn't be the same without them. Phil's voice hasn't aged one bit, although for some reason after the midpoint of the song, he starts to sound like a Dalek.

Instantly memorable and entertaining, "Night People" proves that The Human League can still put out a catchy pop tune that is guaranteed to stick in your head.

With regards to Night People, I started off not liking it - by the end I was smiling, happy and it's thoroughly infectious! It sounds a bit Peaches produced by Moroder. Hint's of the Fascination EP version of 'I Love You Too Much' - in fact - if it was on the Fascination EP, you wouldn't bat an eyelid.

Whoever did their typography wants shooting. it's dreadful.

Pleasant enough video though, despite the lack of anybody from the band in it. Unless I missed them.
