I've been meaning for ages to make a photo montage of some of my bird photos and add it to some of my bird-inspired music. So, today I got round to making a short video clip from photos of various raptors in flight and stuck on a backing track called "Another Day, A Different Whimbrel". Although I have written three pieces of music with the word 'whimbrel' in the title, I've never actually seen one, and nor am I likely to since we don't get them over here (I think confused )

Anyway, click here to watch, if you feel so inclined.

Bob - I'm a birder too.

Ex-twitcher as well. Or 'twiggler' - a phrase coined by a gang of us roaming the Norfolk coast in the later 80s etc.

Super stuff with the birds.

Hence my avatar name, of course.
Daily watching a couple of super Little Egrets this week, and awaiting the seasonal return of our local Kingfisher. On a more scientific note, gulls and ducks are my 'thing' as yours seems to be raptors.
Should be a Whimbrel or three passing thru here as the season moves on.

Cool cool

And I like the music too, even though I'm not a 'guitar man' myself.
It's very evocative and works well with the montage

Thanks Birdsong.

I am actually planning to do another one with more aquatic birds, including Ibises, Geese, Terns, Gulls etc. There's also a third one 'on the back burner' involving nothing but European Bee Eaters. Watch this space.

Also, the second of the three 'Whimbrel' pieces is entirely synth-based, not a guitar in sight, but it's over six minutes long so I need more photos for that!

BTW, we do get Common Whimbrel here as a summer visitor but mainly on the coasts and I'm 650km away from the nearest coast!

nice link.

Not a bird fancier myself, but I love the shapes they make in flight.

Some great photos there.
