My first gig was Runrig/Big Country at Glasgow Barrowland in 1983. Ticket price was £3. Oh the good old days when a concert ticket was the same price as a L.P & no bloody rip off booking fees.

My first gig was The Members at Camberley Town Hall. I was still at school. Got dropped off by my parents & went in on my own & had never been so scared in all my life. Place was jam packed with punks.

Don't remember much about The Members set. Just know I was glad to get out of there in one piece.

My first gig was an Eagles concert when I was 14 (it wasn't my idea, it was my dad's). Even though I wasn't a huge fan, I found that they weren't too bad.

I don't know if this would qualify as my first proper gig outing but the first gig I went to without parental supervision (I was 18 at that point) was to see - John Foxx. laugh laugh laugh laugh

I know exactly where you're coming from Brian I have to keep double checking !! Frightening !
I see you last home game is against us on 14 May you never know I might be asking you to sort me a ticket , you never know work commitments and cheap flights allowing . The last time I was at The Hawthorns "Big " Ron was in charge (I'm sure we've mentioned this before) I'm sure I've also asked you this before did you ever get to see Steel Pulse ? they were from Handsworth weren't they ? [/b]
As a season ticket holder I'm entitled to buy one ticket only, and thats in our end.So You'd have to be very very quiet laugh

Nah never saw Steel Pulse, remember them being about though. [/b]
OK mate Nearer the time . Re keeping quiet , I'm politeness itself I won't be saying anything anti Baggie , but I do reserve the right to shout "Oy Howard you f++kwit , that's the third time they've scored from distance , stop coming off your line !" smile

I'm a bit crap with dates etc, but I recall paying and queueing to see New Muzik in Northampton 1979/1980 (Straight Lines, Livin by Numbers etc)
I would have been fifteen.

Have earlier memories of the Roadmender where I definitely saw at least UK decay, Antipasti and I think the Cockney Rejects. Started hanging around their when I was 13/14 (77/78) but fitting the pieces in order is difficult.

Did go through an "Oi!" phase which amuses me to recall, and got into several 'chases across wasteland'...

All a bit hazy...
