I saw his one man show in New York a couple of years ago. He literally built up all of his songs from scratch on stage. He programmed the beats and looped them. Then he played the bassline and added it to the loop. Then he played chords, leads, and sang on top of it. It was pretty amazing. When he occasionally ran into technical difficulties, he threw T-shirts into the audience as a consolation prize.
He will probably have a band this time around, but in any case, I think he is worth seeing since he understands how much more enjoyable a concert is when things are actually live.
