I ordered Gary Numan’s Jagged CD from Asda on 16th June and it still hasn’t arrived

According to their Customer Services department it is on ‘special order’ and they cannot give me an estimated delivery date.

I ordered the CD at the bargain price of £4.93 and only a few days later Asda bumped the price up to £12.79 (it’s now £9.73).

Now, do I take the charitable view and assume everyone who has ordered the CD since 16th June is in the same boat as me? Or do I take the cynical view and assume they don’t want to sell it to me at £4.93?

Hold on in there. I am sure you have plenty of other stuff to play whilst waiting. They will have to provide the CD. Most likely hoping you will cancel your order in th meantime.

I have Jagged Edge coming from Townsend so I guess I will be listening to that before Jagged

I decided to be a bit more proactive with this, so I got a work colleague to e-mail ASDA customer services to enquire about the availability of 'Jagged'. Sure enough, they came back to say the CD was in stock and available to dispatch.

Nice.

Me thinks I won't be using ASDA again.
