Found it! It was "It's Over." Thanks so much, Will. Glad to know I wasn't hallucinating.

I am amazed it is 12 years since his death, a very unique talent. I must dig out some of my Associates tracks and give them a good listen.

sweetly put Will.

Billy’s voice was such a perfect vital humanity flowing along with the arty atmospherics and the intensified pop of his music.
I can remember very clearly when I heard the Associates for the first time, John Peel (where else!) played a few tracks, and when the beautiful/strange sound of ‘Tell Me Easters On Friday’ started up I rushed over to tape it. Like Gary Hunter, I am also surprised that 12 years has past so quickly, and I feel I should reintroduce myself to Billy’s music once again.

Nice one Will.

I'm lucky to have discovered his music. Like every favourite artist of mine he has special corner in my record collection.

I hope they unearth more rarities from whatever archive there may be in this planet. Starting with the one in some bank vault in Zurich.

R.I.P Billy
