The only thing that is disappointing is they have n't included any additional tracks, they could have at least put the single edit versions of the album tracks and the odd remix here and there.

Rumours of a new album as well ........... should be out in 2014!!!

I don't know, a remaster/reissue isn't obliged to automatically include bonus tracks. It's a reissue of the original album after all, but I guess the "bonus track" has become a trend.

I'm of the opinion that there probably isn't any Kraftwerk material in the archives to release, or that's worth releasing, probably just demoes or unfinished ideas, given their track record of output. They were hardly a b-sides band either!

I think the most interesting thing is the prospect of a new Kraftwerk album... although with only one original member left, are they still truly Kraftwerk...?

Oh, but of course!!!

Kraftwerk have the opportunity right now to outlast every group there ever was. Their impersonal layout and history of replacements grants them an immortality beyond almost every other band. They can sail on into eternity, punching the robo-beats out to the stars, resounding throught the Universe long after all civilisation and consciousness has faded from it.

A single omnipresent entity! The individual contributors come second to their unified sound.

Not quite sure where to post this but OMD have announced that they and Simple Minds will both be performing Kraftwerk's Neon Lights together on their tour in Nov/Dec.

Both bands have previously issued cover versions of said track.

Oh... well SM did make a rather bland cover version of it back in 2001.

I guess I'll find out in December!

I haven't the cash to go buy the Kraftwerk remasters at the minute....

and to be honest, I feel it's a bit daft remastering something like "Tour de France soudtracks" when the excellent krautrock albums "Kraftwerk", "Kraftwerk 2" and "Ralf und Florian" have never even been issued on CD yet in the first place! (or the Kouhoutek comet single) (the bootleg CDs from the mid-1990s are just dubbed off the vinyl).

And I'm a bit non-plussed at Ralf Hütter taking Flür and Bartos' faces off the cover art of TEE and The Man-Machine! Flippin' cheek!
