laugh well, have to admit that when he stated that the album was still in its 'embryonic stage' I was momentarily surprised by his certainty,
perhaps Ralf is going to Clone half a dozen more little Hutters to help him complete Der Process...

The Kraftwerk remasters are now seperated available (all 8) here.
Is that also the case elsewhere?
And if so, has anyone bought a copy already?
How is the sound quality and the artwork?

I've just seen the reissues in HMV, looking very smart in their slipcases smile

I went and had a look at the Kraftwerk re-issues. As Alex says, they're nice looking - and most of the radical sleeve design is actually the slip-case. However, on the back sleeve the releases (Computer World for example) have the following text;

© 1981 Kling Klang Produkt Ralf Hutter / Florian Schneider

Didn't they try this before? I may be wrong but I think certain ex-members took them through the courts for doing this previously.

Unless there's been some agreement of some sort.

I do like the logo thingy though smile

I presume the CDs inside have the original artwork.

Okay, I admit: I'm a bit of a freak when it comes to electronic music and Kraftwerk 'in besonderes' (but not as a boy I knew who owned 4 Man Machine LP's, one in English and one in Deutsch to 'consume', and one in English and one in Deutsch to store away).
I've just ordered Der Katalog (yes, the German one).
So far so good, but then I went into this shop where they sell all of the remasters. And there was only one (1) left: The Man Machine ,my favourite one ...
Well, I bought the damn thing.
I took it home.
That quality of paper.
Those pictures telling a story without words.
And the sound ... man ... just butter.
It's hot!

Where did you order Der Katalog from?

My first vinyl record ever was Die Mensch Maschine and I naturally still have got it. The Man Machine is on CD.

Aloha Mr Normall!

I've pre-ordered 'Der Katalog' at bol.com.
That's a wellknown and reliable dutch internet company.
I noticed there that 'Catalogue' is 30 euro's cheaper
compared to 'Der Katalog'.
Don't know why.
