I'd have to say structure. For instance, with Brian Eno, more happens in a few seconds for the Microsoft start-up theme than in the whole of the hour-long "Thursday Afternoon"

My choice would be "Echoes" by the Floyd.

Just reminded of this thread while listening to Morrissey's debut "Viva Hate"

He hasn't gone on to write much that is better than the superb Late Night Maudlin Street.

His wonderful lyrics vocals are delivered at their laconic and cynical best on this track. 7'40" I believe.

Doesn't that song run for a least an hour?

The original 7 inch short vinyl version yes they want to bring an extended version out now While I'm here Maryann à propos of Marquee Moon ( The title track is an epic 9 minutes long) I'd advise you to give it a try Obviously I'm in no position to give you your money back , should you be disappointed

The problem is that it is quite expensive here so perhaps I will wait and see if I can get it discounted a bit. Thanks though for the vote of support for Marquee Moon. So far it is one vote for and one vote against.
