Just watched this a moment ago. what a fantastic piece. Johns comments about his motivation with emotion in music and his uninhibited joy when listening to the drum-machine - together with Benge's obvious love for the treasures in the studio - all of which really made this little film something special.

This was really lovely. I like the quote about how "the mission for this generation [is] to hear what digital actually sounds like without imitating analog." As others have mentioned, you can really see the joy and happiness they get from playing with this equipment.

All I want in life is every detail of how Metamatic was made, every song, how he felt, what happened, what Ballard he read..that sorta thing. Dvd? Howsabout a proper book? I'd try and write it with him anytime.

Maybe we should start a campaign to get the The Garden played live in its entirety? Or am I a bit behind here?
