Mine's arrived so I'll be watching that next. Great bands and acts, like our John of course, should never retire, they are maestros at their own thing.

Well, Chris has been amazed recently. The following act was critcized a lot about his sexuality and dismissed by a lot of critics. I'm not a fan of him as I'm not into opera meets pop but the following track lies as one of the best performed and written songs of all time. It's up there as a classic. Klaus Nomi RIP:

Modern Masters BBC1 9pm Sunday. Last week's was the first, on Andy Warhol. Very refreshing and insightful documentary I thought. More to follow on Matisse, Picasso and Dali.

How To Live A Simple Life. BBC2 9pm Friday. First of three last night. Peter Owen Jones attempting to give up money and become self-sufficient for a year. There really should be more thought-provoking programmes like this on the telly.

Welcome aboard Chris!

Nomi is an absolute genius. His presentation of 'Total Eclipse' is epecially brilliant. It's one of the few times when I have cringed at my beloved Marc Almond for just not 'getting it'

Thanks Birdsong!

It's a great track anyway. This is the original version. Who could reach that high? laugh

Finland dropped out. On national contest for Finland's candidate there was this band, who very possibly would had done "lordis":

Definitely! It was very slightly annoying a few years back that the Harold Budd concert was on the same night as Eurovision.
