I also know what's meant my Sylvia's Mother. Cringe on the rare occassion I have to hear that song.

Yep. Pete that sure is a good song that sticks in your head from long ago. Have you noticed tho that anyone who tries to sing it themselves can only do it Rolf Harris style anyway?? OOOOEWWW!!
Imagine Foxxy doing a version?? Tweak the lyrics a bit....

Two little boys had two little toys,
playing in the under pass.
flourescent lights hilight their plight
to the sound of broken glass...etc.

'Born to be Alive' by Patrick Hernandez.

I was tiny when I bought this, but for some reason I still like it. AND I still have the vinyl 7"

God, I'm embarrassed now.... shocked

Sarah laugh

PS I also have 'Snot Rap' by Kenny Everett on single too. Not a favourite though. Don't ask.....

oh ... there are a lot of "guilty pleasures" i could tell u about , but ... I WON'T ! *hehehe*

okay ... i'm a secret ( well ... now not so "secret" anymore , eh ? ;-o ) admirer of madonna's musical work , but i definitely DON'T like "la isla bonita" ! *urgh*
u can give me "into the groove" , "frozen" or "i love new york" ( the rock version ) anytime & would shamelessly dance to it - yeah ! ;-)

Fine Song Patrick not Kenny So philosophically deep If you dig out your 7" and look at the credits ,you will see P.Hernandez/J. P. Sartre /A. Camus

If not that, then The Crystals original version of "Da Doo Ron Ron"

I know what you mean about Sylvia's Mother as well though. cool
In a similar vein as much as I'd like to see the odious Lloyd Webber and the smug Tim Rice hung ,drawn and quartered , I do like Elaine Page's "Memories "
