I am glad you talked me into buying this one, K. It has the US 12" mix of Situation, among some other great remixes. smile smile
I feel the need to point out to everyone that Yaz is the US marketing name for Yazoo, and has nothing to do with 'The Only Way Is Up' by Yazz etc. shocked

eek Although I don't know the British group you are referring to, I sense it is quite un-Vince Clarke like.
Yaz was always Yaz here. My old vinyl of Upstairs at Eric's attests to that. Wonder why the name change confused

At the time of their success in the USA there was a band already about called Yazoo hence the name change to Yaz.

The other artiste called Yazz is/was a female solo disco singer, best known for recording as Yazz & The Plastic Population; number one'd in the UK with "The Only Way Is Up" as mentioned above.

I'm showing my age now.

I believe so.

Likewise at the time The Beat went ahead and renamed themselves The English Beat and The Charlatans renamed themselves The Charlatans UK.

I've never heard of the US bands neither!

Just about my favourite Rupert Hine album - 'The Wildest Wish To Fly'. I hadn't played it in quite a while and it's still sounding great.
