Okay, but believe me, he would understand.

Today has been A-Ha - 'Headlines And Deadlines', and Midge Ure - 'In New York' doddgy sounding boot.

Yes, its felt like crawling on broken glass for years just to get to 'Sacrifice' onwards.

If you make a 'Best Of' cdr from '81 - '07 though, its surprising just how many great tracks are from this period. Now Foxx on the other hand, you would need a 50 pack of blank cdrs.....

There are a lot of fantastic tracks hidden away on albums such as I, Assassin, Berserker and The Fury. Especially the Fury.

You can easily choose 2 or 3 excellent tracks from everything after Dance, up to Outland.

Then once you get to Sacrifice and beyond, you're completely spoilt for choice.

So what do you all think? Should I go for one?

It's very ambient stuff, so if that's up your street - then yeah! 'Cluster & Eno' is a good place to start, or either of the compilation albums; ‘Begegnungen’ or ‘Begegnungen II’

Yes but Eno came before Japan so one can make the argument..... [/b]
some eno tracks remind me of japan, especially "julie with".

as for numan, i've always liked 'dance' and 'i, assassin' is another excellent album. i even like 'warriors' although that's a bit different style...
