If you skipped the live albums, the live in studio albums, the spoken word albums, the compilation albums, and the reissues with varying bonus tracks, and started with the Ultravox years, you'd still have thirty or more albums of music.

It's not like the time I looked through the Bangles section of a record store back when they only had three proper albums. The store didn't have any of those albums but they had five different compilation albums.

Hawkwind are the worst

I believe that. The only Hawkwind-related record I actually own is the Hawklords' "Psi Power"/"Death Trap" 7" single, which I bought back around 1979-80. When I decided I'd like to have a digital version of "Death Trap," I had to sort through lots of compilations of live stuff, remixed stuff, demos, etc, to find the right version of the song. I think I finally found one on eMusic.

I suppose someone looking for "Underpass" might have a somewhat similar experience.
