Hello Sarah I seem to remember an interview with John in 1983 just prior to the Golden Section tour with Eddie & Sunshine from a programe called 'Riverside' I belive he was wearing the striped shirt you are refering to then.

I also have that interview on a dvd compilation. If yours has mostly Midge era Ultravox on it and this interview after Hiroshima mon amour from OGWT, then it is 'Riverside' from '83. Johns wearing a strippy shirt, sitting at a table and being interviewed by Eddie and Sunshine. At one point John was asked somethink like does he 'feel excited or nervous about touring again', and he replyed 'yes'. Its one of the best, and best known solo Foxx interviews.

Mystery solved! It definitely is Riverside with Eddie and Sunshine!

There is more to this interview than the last 30 seconds that I have!

Does anyone have the full interview? I'd love to see it!

I recognised Eddie and Sunshine immediately, but otherwise I haven't seen this before. I too would be very keen to see the whole thing - I suspect there wasa performance of some music involved as well?

Theres about 30 seconds I have on a DVD and about one minute in B/W on an old VHS. If it helps yes the full interview is still in existance. If I had it in full, everyone here would be the first to know.

And did Eddie and Sunshine 'guest present' just this one edition of Riverside? Which would explain why John was on there…

Yes thats it Martin, John, Eddie and Sunshine took over most of the programme. I can still vividly remember watching it, as much as i can not recording it. :rolleyes:
