I've also seen Live From A Room going for between £40 - £50 as well. The Drive ep has also rocketed up in price as well.

As far as I know my copy is made in 1995 and came out in 1997. The copy on e-bay says it is from 2002 , which is absolutely nonsense - as for the start bid too!!!

I'm sure the remaster will come out until the end of the year. 50pounds is a real rip off for an old copy!! It is worth the wait for the new one!!!
I will order a copy too then - I'm soooooooo keen for the bonus tracks...

Are any of these actually selling prices or asking prices as there is a difference.

Shifting City usually sells on Ebay for between £15 and £25. The Drive EP sells for around £10 now.....after that box of around 40 or 50 were found earlier in the year!

Inspired by another thread I had a look at ebay and John's back catalogue cache for those who were slow, or weren't in the know.

Its interesting to see that a copy of the original '97 Shifting City was sighted at £50 on the first post here, (though I'm sure that in the past it also appeared listed at £80, or £100 or more).

Today however, since the lovely must-have remaster bonus '09 CD the bottom has dropped right down - (and for John, ever with his finger on the pulse of the times, even when he hasn't actually got his finger in place wink ) - the original city, much like many of the planets actual metropolises, is now also in something of a recession:

Ah yes - I remember the endless days trying to find a reasonably priced copy of the original Shifting City. E-bay was my second home. Gave up in the end and waited for the re-issue. Happy days!
