Martin, I'll see you there then. Did I see another thread somewhere where you mentioned a limited 7" of the new single. Did I miss it?

There is going to be a limited edition 7inch single yes. We don't have any plans to sell it through our online shop at the moment as each one is going to be signed and numbered by Louis and sold at this and other forthcoming gigs and any remainder will be going out to specialist vinyl shops.

Here's a mock-up I made to get an idea of the finished product.

To keep it nice and simple, we're going to go for a plain white cut-out card sleeve, (easier for Louis to sign than the label shown in this mock-up) and let the label art do all the talking.

I can't wait to see it. Toffeetones are very excited by vinyl and hope to do more in the future cool

Absolutely! In-fact so fresh off the press they should still be warm wink

We're working flat-out to have copies of the new double album ready for the show as well.

Not wishing to give the game away but if you want the album signing too, I'd recommend a gold pen. Should look very nice on the sleeve art cool

Personally I'm looking forward to Louis' "Casio Bingo"

The Grub gig was excellent!
Nice little venue, fun friendly vibe and great sound.
Louis was accompanied by Matt Gunn also on keyboards and guitar.
I'll be putting up footage (filmed the whole gig) soon as I can put all the edit points in etc. (filmed the gig in half hour chunks.)

I'll be putting up more tonight.
I posted this question over on Dubsounds too about trouble I'm having getting some of the footage off but I know there are several people who use camcorders so...
Here goes...
Footage is on a dvd-ram disc (mini sized disc 30mins per side)
I can view all the footage perfectly in camera,
When I extract the .vob file into a capture program (Ulead mediastudio 8.0)
It can't find access data stream.
The .vob file when played in Nero showtime plays but is missing 4 minutes of footage from the end.

I conclude from this that the footage is ok but something in the header or attached data file is corrupt....
Extra annoyingly the section of footage contains the brilliant&funny cover of the Carpenters' Occupants (of Interplanetary craft)and This Air (the current single) which were some of the highllights of the night (for me).

I finally have the whole gig uploaded at last!
It gets dark towards the end as the natural light from outside reduces, this also tends to effect the focus as it tries to lock on to something.Almost all the tracks are recorded in their entirety bar a few which miss a bit of the beginning where I'm changing discs.
Hardware update overdue!
Anyway hopefully it will give you an idea of how the gig was.
