Tenuous connection, but I've just found this fascinating interview with Ian North of Neo at the RoxyClub website. From january 2007, it describes the earliest development of the post-punk band and (albeit briefly) refers to Robin Simon's period with them

I recently unearthed a 2 track video of Neo from Dec 1977. This was produced and paid for by Charisma Records with whom we were negoitiating a deal at the time. One of the tracks, Transister is on the AjantaMusic youtube page. Check it out, John Foxx said we were the best punk band he ever saw. The new all vocal AjantaMusic album is due for release as soon as were on itunes and have sorted our website out. Pre release copies on sale soon. Punk rock! ya shoulda been there....
