Finally would like to introduce myself.
Name: Baldur
Age: 29 (since quite some years...)
Location: Munich/Germany
History:
1st vinyl 7"" was "It's a Shame" (Talk Talk), next one "Master & Servant" (Depeche Mode), then "Hymn" (Ultravox), and then I found "Systems of Romance" in a record shop, my very first album and ever since then I've been fond of what The Master was releasing. I'm not really fond of "Metamatic" meanwhile since by now I'm more into totally different kinds of music (dubstep, d'n'b, electro, punk/hardcore, soca), but most post-1992 albums offer something revealing for me. I rank Ultraviolet, A Million Cars, The Noise and Through My Sleeping among the greatest pop songs of all time, Cathedral Oceans is a great soundtrack for having sex all night long, and generally The Master's output causes feelings of warmth, melancholy and urban detachment in me.
I try to visit one concert a year. Once he's been in my hometown Bielefeld/Germany, but usually I combine a concert with a long weekend in London, together with shopping, culture and long party nights in decent underground clubs.
Though I'm way beyond being a fan of someone or a band, I'm making fun of collecting self made memorabilia of The Master. I own John Foxx bed linen, friends named a star after him, and once they performed a John Foxx themed navity play for me on my birthday. John Foxx themed presents are a running gag and a good occasion to be creative.
Apart from that, I enjoy travelling (Africa & Central America), diving, going out with friends (clubs, parties, bars, ...), playing World of Warcraft (...), Wing Tsun and driving banger rallys.
My dream: A dinner with The Master to pester him with questions on his life beyond his musical output.
I'd post a photo with The Master when I was able to sneak backstage, but my face expression is like a UFO has just landed in my back garden.
