Metamatic Forums John Foxx John Foxx 2 Foxx/Numan Inspired Tracks Uploaded

Some of you may know that I am working on a new album that is imspired by John's album "Metamatic" and Gary Numan's work (Replicas & Telekon) well the first fruits of that album have been uploaded to my myspace page and btter quality files have been uploaded to my page on iCompositions. Two songs are now available "The Grey Room" (The albums title track) and "I Once Was A Machine" (A track that would n't be out of place on Numan's "Replicas album).

I'd have to say that "I Once Was A Machine" sounds more Telekon/Pleasure Principle than Replicas to me, but its a fine tune either way!

Excellent work Mr Hunter, lov the artwork depicted to. Am I to assume this album will be instrumental? If so I shall start a campaign here and now for the inclusion of 'The Glimmer Man'

"I Once Was A Machine" sounds very "replicas" to me, very good tune , mate.

Thanks Alex, i'm surprised at the reaction to this song as I nearly shelved it, it has been well received on both my myspace & iCompositions pages.

Spot on with your assesment it is indeed totally influenced by Numan's "Replicas" album, the whole idea started from just the basic drum pattern used on "I Nearly Married A Human" and I built the song around that.
