Cheers Alex!

Enjoyed your coverage!

Lived in Leeds for a year (1999) and the Town Hall is surely impressive. There's a nice, gothic RC church I used to go near the Meadow Shopping Centre (the one that has Morrisons). Is this the Church where John performed CO 3? Forgot it's name.

Thanks for the review, Alex, it was a very nice reminder of a fantastic evening smile . Great to meet you and the other assembled forumites as well - Sarah B and Tessa, Craig, Steve (sorry, Herbert wink ) and Elaine.

We did go to the Wetherspoons afterwards, actually, but didn't hang round all that long, anyway - sorry we missed you guys. Still, hope to see everyone at the Luminaire very soon!

I was thinking of The Headrow ie an avenue. The Church I used to visit during my stay in Leeds was St Anne's RC Cathedral.

Very elegant on the outside and very spiritual on the inside. On the nave on the right hand side, where they used to say morning mass, one could only wonder at the way the sun filtered in increasing intensity, through the stained glass windows over the altar, as the sun rose over the city of Leeds. Another delightful experience of Cathedral Oceans. smile

I think John lived in Leeds for a while before moving back to London in recent years. I guess he has a fondness for the place.

The Town Hall was just perfect. The stonework, the architecture and the CO type statues in the foyer.. all very cool. Even the wind blowing through the place added atmosphere (despite it being cold at times!).

John's music does seem right at home in venues like this.

It was the Holy Trinity Church where John played last year, on Boar Lane.

Halloway: Yes, yes and YES. Love the Max Ernst idea - and why not? And the Alan Marker, Chris Marker, Mike Barker name play is really nice too.

For me the project is about the process of film-making, and the creation of the artifice provides a structure within which to experiment.

And of course, it gives us all something to pick apart and be intrigued by - as well as being top quality entertainment.
