The album isn't going to be quite the same after that though - it'll somehow feel incomplete

Although at least I have a vague memory of the films to go with the tracks! It certainly makes you appreciate/understand the album as a whole.

I like the TCM performance too. Saw it twice in Brighton and London which was nice.

As many Others here I would be very interested into a DVD of TCM too.
Who knows, perhaps one day...

I would love to go to John's new exhibition too but in the fact of travelling two times to UK this year there's a big hole in my pocket...

I'll be updating my website over the next couple of days with a review and a few photos from the event - I'll post on here when it's online!

I think John said he couldn't release a TCM DVD because of all the copyright problems surrounding the 'borrowed' film fragments.

If copyright is 50 years, then I guess only a small number of the films have fallen out of copyright - and then you've got the borrowed bits from movies, which obviosuly would cost John a fortune to use!

So my guess is that there may not ever be a DVD - or maybe in a distant future! But who knows, he could surprise us yet.

Yes, I remember John answered that as he was asked about it during an interview on radio. (Think it was the Janice Long session from 2006)

So, it seems our last hope are the bootleggers...?!

Hope we will not find a copy on E-bay for 200 Pounds next...

I've been trying to think what my favourite tiny colour movie was...

Possibly SKyscraper. I also liked Looped Los Angeles a lot, and I really liked the one with the black and white films and the recurring shot of the keys. I can't quite remember which one that was. Thought Experiment was cool too.

Well anybody selling illegally filmed videos of TCM will be in for a major lawsuit!!

From what I remember being shown at RetroFuture, my favourites were Kurfürstendamm, Skyscraper, Looped Los Angeles and Underwater Automobiles.

Looking forward to the Grey Suit Music stills to be shown in early December.

Oh yeah, Underwater Automobiles was good - very tranquil.

What not means that I'm interested to buy a copy on E-bay. I said it with a bit sarcasm 'cause of what was happen with all the rare stuff of John in the past... WHICH IS A REAL SHAME!!!


By the way - My favourites were Skyscraper,The Projectionist, Looped Los Angeles and Hand-Held Skies as far as I remember...

The visuals in The Projectionist were some of the best - everybody laughed when the cat licked his lips!

Unfortunately I still found the music too harsh and shrill. Saw many people sticking fingers in ears!!
