Coming up in December I believe.

I'm wondering about The Cure's "Trilogy Concerts" in 2002.
Didn't they play THREE albums in order - Faith, Pornography and Disintegration??

Yes I believe so, except it was not Faith but the contemporary Bloodflowers. To quote Stan or the other one from South Park, "Disintegration is the best album ever!"

Pornography's a bit of a struggle these days, but you have to admire the conviction of the desolation. Seventeen Seconds or The Head On The Door are much more enjoyable.

I stand corrected.

Pornography is on one 'those' albums that I have given up on and not played for many years. But given that my taste has shifted into deeper and darker waters in recent times I perhaps should give it an airing.

Same thing happened with 'SeaMonsters' by the Wedding Present.
Until last week's gig I had abandoned it as crap since 199?, but it actually isn't of course. I just didn't understand it then. I realsie that its not in the same league as The Cure, but its an example of the same shift in our perception of things.

But back on topic, is this 2002 performance where it all started?
I doubt it, but I'm struggling to think of anything else...

Other faves by the South Park group include Korn and Fiona Apple.

How can I forget The Who's Tommy. I know there were early 1970s concerts in London and Australia. The Who also did Tommy on its 20th anniversary.

I am not sure if they ever did Quadrophenia in its entirety.

BTW: To be totally factual, Tommy was never done in its entirety or in order; they always left out a couple of tracks, even on the anniversary gigs.

Yes, The Who performed 'Quadrophenia' in its entirety first at the Princes Trust concert at Hyde Park in late June 1996, and then later toured with the show in the UK and the US throughout the end of 96 and into 97. For the Hyde Park concert, Phil Daniels reprised the role he played in the film, and David Gilmour also played guitar dressed as a bus driver for the whole gig. The tour also saw Zak Starkeys' first stint as drummer for the band.
