I dont know about "funny" - it is absolutely SUPERB!!

And I have spent the last couple of days listening to Amon Duul 2, so the 'progression' and timing of this is perfect.

So, more more more - I say.
Wouldn't it be great if, at last, someone put together a proper tribute album of stuff like this to the "Godfather of Techno".
There are so few covers of John's work frown

Hmmm. Can't decide whether it's dreadful or merely appalling.

But it's a funny thing. When I listen to the first Ultravox album I often hear strong proggy elements - the coda on 'Slip Away', the mild pomposity of 'Machine', the gross pomposity of 'The Wild...', and of course the use of violin which is reminiscent of early 70s King Crimson.

Depends on how seriously it's supposed to be taken. So it's either amusingly dreadful or seriously appalling.

Not that mine is the most informed opinion; I couldn't listen to more than 45 seconds or so of it.
