Thanks a lot for your great service, Cerise!!!
If you never visited Hamburg - I want to explain the places you can see on the card.
The big one shows you our famous "Landungsbrücken" (landing bridges). At this place you can cross the platforms for using a ship to making a sightseeing tour around the harbour. Not far away ( 15 -20 minutes ) you can visit the "Reeperbahn" and Herbertstrasse" in "St.Pauli ". I assume a lot of you have heard about that Red Light area of "my" city...
The small one on the top of the left side shows the "Köhlbrandbrücke" (Köhlbrand bridge). It's our "little golden gate bridge"(Ha,Ha,Ha) Every year the Hamburg Marathon members cross this bridge. (BTW: It was yesterday)
under the Bridge photo from left to right:
"Speicherstadt" (Store house city)
This was a very busy area in the past. All the things which came by ship from all points of the world found a place here. It's a very interesting aera for a sight-seeing trip!
Then in the center you see our "Rathaus" (Town hall) - Great building!
And on the right you see another part of the harbour.
So, you see: there is a lot to watch here in this city. Hope I can show some of you these places in original on John & Louis next gig in Hamburg!!!
Okay, I get my coat...
Bye, Andreas
