Just bought this & giving it it's first listen as I type.

What is it with iTunes, I can't see the Propaganda re-issue, only the original. Might have to buy from hmv. Or have iTunes listed it incorrectly?

Edit: Now have this album, disc one sounds as good as ever. Not sure of what to expect from disc 2 as this was another one of those LPs I used to hire from the library in my youth, don't recognise any of the CD2 tracks.

I bought the Super Audio CD of A Secret Wish when it came out in 2003.Sound quality is excellent but there were no additional tracks included. I'm going to have to buy this reissue now!! It's a shame that their version of Femme Fatal is not included. I used to have a ZTT sampler cassette which included this track.A good version it was too.

It's only on the 1994 Japanese edition. It's one of my favourite Propaganda tracks - can't believe they didn't put it on the new one (copyright / licensing issues?)

Hi Garry. Yes you might be right about the licensing/copyright issues re Femme Fatal. Damn shame.

I bought 3 CD reissue of the ACT album 'Laughter Tears And Rage' in 2003 which contained everything bar the kitchen sink. It's a pity they couldn't have done the same with 'A Secret Wish'. As well as the album,all 7" edits,B-sides,extended mixes and other related recordings(eg Femme Fatal) could have been included.Still there are some rare tracks available on the new reissue.

Absolutely. Never understood the decision at all. I've got the Act and Andrew Poppy box-sets and they're well researched, beautifully designed and have absolutely everything (- the Poppy one containing a previously unreleased album). And if there's a band that could do with a box-set it's Propaganda. Having said that, these were released a few years ago now by ZTT. These new editions are being put out by Rhino whose quality control has gone down the toilet the last few years (They're also responsible for the awful New Order re-issues).

Is this the same song that was included on the Outside World album?

Yes, this is the track on the Outside World compilation. We are lamenting the fact that the new reissue is a bit of a missed opportunity to release everything from that time together.
