Hello everybody!

I've been a Foxxy fan for about five years now. I became aware of the man's prodigious work a scant three days after the METAMATIC/GARDEN reissues in 2001, so great timing there.

Methinks I'm the only Yank in these parts at the moment. I'm surely the only member from...gulp...Texas. I apologize for that ahead of time.

P.S. In case you were wondering, my user name *is* a John Foxx/Jeff Foxworthy pun. I just couldn't resist the horrid juxtaposition. I once rewrote John's THE QUIET MAN from the perspective of Jeff's "Ya might be a redneck...," and I'll torture you with it if and when the moment's right.

Thanks. It's not always easy being an American Foxx fan. Those import prices are ungodly at times. I'm just thankful for Amazon.com Marketplace sellers.

You know what's awful? In my five years as a fan, I've never once seen a Foxx or Ultravox mk1 CD available in a retail store. I once asked a teller at Borders, and she brought up three Redd Foxx albums. Same thing, really.

Nice to meet you, Mr. Humana.

Greetings to you both.

Said in the voice of Jeff Foxworthy: "If ya become the hidden frequency of the rooms, hummin' all the intimate tidal harmonies of these places...ya might be a quiet man. If ya go up to yer room with the old aspidistras with glossy, cracked leaves...ya might be a quiet man."

I told you it was awful.

A few years ago, I told my mom about Marc Almond. She rushed out and bought me an Allman Brothers CD. I'm kinda surprised she didn't get this:

Heh heh...

Yes, I guess there IS quite a bit of difference between Marc Almond , Mark Almond and The Allman Brothers Band isn't there.
