Failing that how about a makeover for V2 Schneider or Sense Of Doubt ? [/b]
Yeah. THAT would be a killer. Slap some vocoder in there as well. Dunno what you'd do with the Guitar riffs though..

John Foxx doing Abba covers was such a preposterous idea that it was entertaining, but since he had to dodge accusations of being a Bowie-wannabe early in his career, I somehow think he would find this thread a little less amusing!

But we're here to have fun, so in the spirit of absurdity, I suggest "Can You Hear Me" from Young Americans. I've always had a soft spot for that album. Then again, there's always "Moonage Daydream" . . .

When Foxx was asked which of his songs he would like Bowie to cover ( this was around 81) his answer was...........................Hiroshima Mon Amour
Been some great suggestions so far. I like the 'Fashion' one myself, perhaps with 'Goldern Years' mixed in for good measure as you can pretty much sing one to the other in places. Do'nt believe me? Give it a try.

Yes! John would be in full swing with this one.

Speed of Life would also make a Foxx epic.

I've recently discovered on Amazon a DVD titled 1978, which naturally I've ordered. I've always moaned why Stage was not filmed or released as a video but this DVD could be the one I've been looking for. For synth fanatics like me this would a gem. As I've seen on youTube David plays the Chamberlin on the tour I wonder what synths the keyboard players are playing. I hope it's well filmed.

David Bowie's 1978 tour was filmed - several shows were filmed and by Just a Gigolo director David Hemmings.

Bowie wasn't pleased with the final concert film edit and the recordings remain in Hemmings' vault.

I've never seen that "1978" DVD before - obviously not an official release, but a compilation of all existing footage. I might have to get my hands on that!

Found that out recently on some Record Collector article. IMHO Bowie should buy back that recording and release it.

Haven't opened it yet as it's a St Valentine's gift. It does give a list of a series of shows and a lot of the performances are already available on youTube. Anyhow, it's a nice collection to have.

The Musikladen show from the same period should also be released. I have it somewhere taped on VHS. A DVD of this would be nice to have. Both on Muiskladen and on Stage the track Heroes sounds awesome.
