21st Century? NKOM? You sure you're not confusing John Foxx with someone else?

That's unfortunate. But it was a Sunday night.

I wonder why Triple-J aren't playing any of his music? 30 years ago there was a DJ on late at night who was a fan of his. Can't recall his name now.

27! What a shocker confused frown

I found this link which does refer to a 'small crowd'. Still, it sounds like it went down well with those who did attend.

Hi All

Here we are in Adelaide sorting the gig out for this evening .

Should be a busy night .

Hopefully more than Brisbane, although the figure of 27 is incorrect. There was many more than that.

Chris

I should hope so!!!

Thanks for taking the time to pop in Chris.
Good luck with the rest of the shows. Everyone here wishes you and the rest of the crew good fortune in Australia.

A setlist would be the icing on the cake wink , but I can understand that waiting till after the tour so as not to give anything away.

John playing at the other side of the world is a daring move. Especially since, as far as I know, he didn't have as much commercial success back in the 80s as he did here. I think the tour draws on, not his past, but present reputation as a musician and artist.

Anyway there was probably always a risk of very low numbers of attendance - 27's not that bad - could have been much worse! Out of that he may have gained 20-odd new fans, who knows?

It is a shame, but I guess its a risk he's willing to take, and John and Louis will still play their hearts out to 10 or 100 people.

Yep, I was the one that posted that pic on facebook, it was taken by Ken Evans from the band Tycho Brahe who were opening the show in Brisbane.

And yes, there were more than the number quoted earlier. The head count I did turned up 122 people. Not the greatest of turn outs and it is a big venue but it was a great set by John and Louis, and everyone there had a great night.
