Maybe Bowie bought the last of that too. eek Im thinking of the 'best of' as the definitive OMD compilation, hope to not 'need' another a few years time. Really looking forward to the dvd, as ive not seen any of the videos for donkeys months. smile [/b]
Guess who got their copy of the OMD dvd today. smile

I have been watching old reruns of the classic television show The Night Stalker, which is really the precursor to The X-Files.

In one of those moments where you’re waiting to go out, or do something more important, I found myself watching Thunderbirds, (not the 2004 film).

It’s still got great retro future styling I thought to myself while watching the scenes involving the rescue craft, the huge silver rocket of TB1 and the birdlike carrier ship of TB2, both blasting up into the air in a fantastic display of sheer power and flames, nothing can stop them...
But in yet another one of those observations that you miss as a child and notice as an adult, I realised that after all those massive pyrotechnics, Scott and Virgil in a rescue attempt to cut through a thick metal door had laughably arrived at their destination with only a very tiny ray gun to hand, they failed of course.

Thats a funny thing, i was watching the 2004 film today. Its nothing like the original series. The 60's show was much better and the actors so much more real, unlike these hollywood puppets. I think this bigscreen remake is just for kids though. smile I could only watch 15 mins before going back to the ipod.
