Not watching it firsthand unfortunately, just this online clip:

Ah, its the midnight hour, and I'm hoping that watching these will inspire some dreams at bedtime -

Squirrel Nut Zippers Ghost Of Stephen Foster.
(Directed by Raymond Persi and Matthew Nastuk 1999):

Candy Town.
Two sweethearts are invited up to the moon for a visit and discover that its not made of cheese but made of candy.

Dueling Hypnotists -

The 5000 fingers of Doctor T.
(perhaps one day I'll finally get to watch All of this Dr Seuss film!):

Me Mine.

Pink Playground Come Find Me.
(I like this minimalist video, at first hand it appears a tad ominous and unpredictable, but I think its about the dependency and trust we have as children - between each other as adults, and also within ourselves - well, that's my take on it!):

Life and Death of Marina Abramovic - by Robert Wilson.
(I could have had the opportunity to see this in Manchester last July, but chose not to go. Fantastic visuals, but Willem Dafoe cracks me up with his un/intentional? impersonation of a cat):

"Across the table,
I remember your face cake
from some shattered dinner-plate"

Through the Thorns to the Stars; Humanoid Woman, totally gorgeous climatic sequence of this 1981 Soviet film (re-edited in 2001) about an alien woman with an implant in her brain giving her special powers. The film's title is also known as Per Aspera Ad Astra - through hardships to the stars (which is also the name of an album by Austin Texas ambient band Stars Of The Lid):

I've been reading Julian Cope's brilliant JAPROCKSAMPLER book checking out the bands he mentions on you tube & came across this video of Fumio Miyashta.

Fumio Miyashta part 2 (1979)- Far East Family Band

Mesmerisingly minimal electronics on the 'All Ears Boffomundo Show'.

Many thanks indeed for this Mr Ilektrik, when I got home from work at 11pm you had me searching/listening to FEFB till 2am. I was already (inadvertently) familiar with some of the bands on Cope's list, but I've now purchased FEFB's Nipponjin - which enjoyably distills two of their albums into a slight remix and avoids the overt Dark Side Of The Moon pastiche/cliche's, and my purchase of the excellent Parallel World is to follow.

Every once in a while I seek out good alternative clips of David Lynch's flawed sci-fi film Dune, having seen it many times previous its a long time since I've watched the whole of the actual movie, I prefer instead to think that I never saw it, never saw its faults, or perhaps it never existed and maybe I imagined it, and such is the power of Lynch's creativity that when I stumble across a well edited and interesting montage of scenes from Dune its like discovering a wondrous vision of an ancient spectacle from a far away and foreign shore... Brian Eno's stunning desert theme perfectly captures that feeling of being a stranger in a strange land -

David Lynch's album Crazy Clown Time has been released this November, its prompted me to belatedly catch up on the winners and finalists who this time last year had a month in which to made a video for a song from the album, some very inventive stuff falling within the dark visual lands of Lynch territory, but I think the black humour's got forgotten along the way -

Good Day Today (good video but also a bit graphic):

Series (season - for those across the pond) four of "Fringe". Everything "The X-Files" could and should have been - and I loved "The X-Files" and I still do.

Seems like its a Double spooky day! - I've never watched Fringe, and wasn't a fan of the X-Files (though I did enjoy their first feature film), but this morning while channel surfing on TV I've twice caught the same repeat of an X-Files episode (the one where a man on death row escapes prison)
