"Peep Show" on DVD/C4, the funniest thing on TV by miles.

"The Curse of Steptoe", which has some great performances.

"Soylent Green".

Got through a few classic Doctor Who stories over the weekend, all from the Tom Baker era.

"Robot", "The Face of Evil" and "Meglos". My copy of "Invasion of Time" arrived today, so I'll look forward to that!

Saw 'The Empire of The Sun' yesterday, with an amazing young Christian Bale in it. Now bought a secondhand copy of the book from J.G. Ballard. I was truly impressed by the movie.

The Associates closing their most revered chapter Sulk. On this particular show in Holland we see Martha Ladly taking over Alan Rankine's duties as synth player. They performed 3 songs Skipping, Party Fears Two and White Car in Germany and was a memorable show; a fine farewell to a brief and productive career.

The Associates' unpredictable but innovative style of crafting fine pop songs are evident here. These 3 tracks are among my all-time favourites and so is Side Two of Sulk opening with idyllic Skipping and full of sonic washes from the most expensive synthesizers of the time, the Synclavier and the Prophet 5.

From the following videos, courtesy of youTube, I would take both the Prophet 5 and one of my pin-ups from my adolescence, Martha Ladly. laugh

Revolution Rock -- DVD, by the Clash. Live songs of theirs/videos. It was okay, but the packaging is trashy. Too much time was put on the early years.

Good.

I've been putting these on for my sons -- to educate them about humour!
