Not sure how popular such a thread will be but time (and replies, or lack of them) will naturally be the judge. Let's have everything from Eastenders (perhaps :p ) to experimental cinema.

I'll start -

Blade Runner - The Final Cut. Perhaps I was tired but it didn't really do a lot for me - too much tinkering? I preferred the earlier Director's Cut. Awesome film though of course.

Also watching Family Guy and American Dad! to an unhealthy degree.

Over to you, if you like. wink

Good idea for a thread.

I watch The Daily Show and The Colbert Report most nights. I also caught an episode of South Park, which I really like.

Great idea for a thread - lets see what happens...

I also bought a copy of the recent Final Cut of Blade Runner - but so far I haven't gotten around to actually watching it, instead I've spend my time wading through all of the supplementary features and documentaries - of which there are many.

The last film I watched (a couple of nights ago) was the Martin Scorsese epic, Kundun. I love the soundtrack (Philip Glass) and so I wanted to see how well it married up with the story... Needless to say, it's absolutely excellent, though you might want to give it a wide berth if you prefer your films to contain car chases and gun-fights... wink

Repo man was once again on Finnish tv this week. I really like the audiovisual touch that goes on right from the beginning. The "plot" only lacks Bob Dobbs? wink Starred by Emilio Estevez, executively produced by Michael Nesmith and music by Iggy Pop... gimme more popcorn, please!

Another film I have to watch every time it comes from telly, is K-PAX. Very philosophical & psychological and beautiful soundtrack.

Younger I used to watch any scifi series, but after Babylon 5 they have been lacking ideas. I now more watch comedy stuff, of which the best for last years I reckon Scrubs.

"Spirited Away" again last night, which served as a useful entry point to the wonderful world of Studio Ghibli.

So so story but the lovely visuals and timeless music make up for it.

This is a good idea for a thread, but it has made me realise how unaware I am of this kind of media

Neither TV or cinema really has any appeal to me... eek
