Last nights edition of my local newspaper printed a front page story to highlight the fact that Yazoo will be coming to Wolverhampton. Can't remember them doing this for any other group in recent times.

I agree £45 seems an awful lot. When the Human League performed Dare! recently they charged £26 and Gary Numan is asking £18 for his Replicas gig. And of course, John & Louis charged £8.50 for Metamatic (what a bargain!).

The price is not bad when you think that it includes almost everything they ever recorded in the studio and tv appearances. Its, for want of a better term, a perfect package.

I'm with maryann on this one - that's just an insane amount of money for a band only relesed two albums and a handful of singles.

The special edition Can DVD which was also Mute and had 2 DVD and 1 CD was only £18. Their Cabaret Voltaire 'Methodology' 3CD boxset and the Cabs DVD bought seperately would only come to £25. Quite frankly, they're taking the mick.

I think when you see what's in the box it isn't too bad.

The 3 albums (remastered) plus a DVD. The DVD also has 5.1 mixes of Upstairs at Erics and You and Me Both.

Considering Depeche Mode were firing out the remaster/5.1 reissues at anywhere between £12 and £15 I think it is priced fairly well.

Amazon are pre-listing the 2008 remasters of Upstairs At Erics and You and Me Both at less than £7 each.

None of the extra's are included though, so I think I'll just stick with my original CDs!

I dont have the originals, but extras are so important IMO that i still wont buy these remasters either. Would have preferred to pay a few pounds more for each IF the extras were included. Same happened with the recent'ish Depeche Mode remasters.
