Rubicks, Rubicks, Rubicks

Haven't posted about them since the website was updated

There's some super stuff on there and a new single.

Mark and Vanessa are nice and lovely and good and should be huge. Er, no, they'll sound better if they're never huge. In fact, they're both quite small...
You know what I mean. laugh

Giddy up!

I saw Tears for Fears supporting Spandau Ballet earlier this year. They were fantastic.

Best support band I ever saw? That's easy - John Foxx & Louis Gordon! Yep, first time I ever saw John live on stage was when he and Louis supported The Human League at Glasgow Barrowlands. Me and my mate didn't bother to stay and watch The Humming Leg 'cause we'd both seen them back in the days when they were good (i.e. pre Joe Callis and the girls). The bouncers looked concerned as we walked out after John & Louis' set and warned us we wouldn't be allowed to come back in once we'd left. We just laughed and walked away laugh

Other great bands that I saw in the days when they were still support acts include:

OMD (supporting Gary Numan at Glasgow Apollo on the Touring Principle tour)

Howard Jones (supporting China Crisis in Aberdeen)

Def Leppard (supporting AC/DC at Glasgow Apollo, when Bon Scott was still alive and DL's drummer still had two arms)

Fad Gadget (supporting Toyah at Glasgow Apollo)

Bauhaus (supporting either Magazine or Simple Minds, can't remember which, at Tiffany's in Glasgow)

I stayed to watch The Human League at Glasgow Barrowlands but they weren't as good as John & Louis.

Oh, and Heaven 17 supporting Erasure (and blowing them away, frankly!)
