| This is sensational
stuff. Archive footage of intelligence agency surveillance of
a series of major and minor political and public figures filmed
in New York hotel rooms, often in intimate situations, all obviously
oblivious that they are committed to film. We overhear phone
conversations, glimpse domestic arguments, a little drug taking,
drunkenness and some very sloppy behaviour. There is also much
banality - book and newspaper reading, TV watching, eating and
drinking, though in two particular cases, we witness cross dressing
and routine rug wearing. The footage was found after it had apparently
been thrown out in the refuse behind a government office in Washington. |
