Actually, only free if you already get The Times.
I don't, so effectively they cost 80p each..

Monday was some Sixties thing.
Tuesday was Joy Division : Closer
Wednesday was Jesus & Mary Chain : Psychocandy
Today is New Order : Power, Curruption & Lies
Tomorrow is Echo & the Bunnymen : Ocean Rain

So, I've got Closer & P,C&L for £1.60

Can't be bad. I always intended to buy Closer, but somehow never got around to it. I have P,C&L on Vinyl, but no way to mp3 it for my music player.
Until now..
Not bothered about the others..

Thanks for the full lowdown nerve..we've been discussing this on (off) the New order remasters topic.
Musical sacrilege or music for the masses?

Actually, just to make the whole picture 'complete' I actually found out that you only get the CD 'free' if you buy your Times at WH Smiths !!! (well known British newsagents chain)..otherwise you have to collect so many coupons (i.e. buy more newspapers...) and add some money to that too....

So that means Smiths are in the 'scam' too....

What is the country coming to? (part 328)

Same here, K.
That is why after a certain time in the morning they give them away for free. I have one use for the newspapers and it has to do with my cats.

The peerless Love "Forever Changes" perhaps? Possibly the best of all the "giveaways" last week. If "Closer" weren't there it would be!
