Sex Pistols? Stranglers? Eddie & the Hot Rods?

Nah, the summer of '77 was all about the arrival of synth rock/pop/disco .. as this video very neatly illustrates.. Spot your faves!

Obviously you took refuge in music as Chelsea were floundering around in the nether regions of old Div 2
How goes it Membs long time no sea !
Hard times indeed they were back then for The Blues, even drawing away to my local équipe Hereford United, who on the other hand were enjoying their heyday in the aforementioned division.

Some solace was taken by this neo-teenager in the popular music of the time, attracted by the power and potential of something called the synthesiser which cropped up now and then on Top of the Pops.

Witness also this epic instrumental hit by the late, great Keith Emerson, his mighty Moog-bank, plus large organ (oo-er!) and a couple of pals to back him up. Take it away Keith!
