Hi all, 43 years old and just have a luv of music in general - have over 4000 LP's.

I first got into John after I heard Ultravox's first post Foxx album with Vienna etc. Great lp BTW. I then bought the earlier 3 albums and realised pre and post where almost different band's with the first Ultravox albums, really ahead of their time.
I felt that John was at the top of his game when he released "the garden" which is in my all time 5 fav albums. It still sounds as fresh and weird today as it did in 81.

He sort of dropped off the air for over 10 years, then he was back in 97 with Cathedral Ocean's and I have been ejoying his new music all the way up to From Trash which is another sublime album.

I can't say John Foxx or Ultravox were ever popular in Australia - even thou I can't say enough great things about him.
I just hope the upcoming Australian tour will be as much fun for John as it will certainly be for me!!

Hi turntable - good to have you on board. I'm pleased for you chaps down there that you'll get some Foxx/Gordon gigs. I'm allowed to be jealous tho as I'm in mainland Europe and we miss out on a lot of Foxxy stuff although admit we were 'spoilt' with two gigs in my neck of the woods last spring.
Hope you can join in the forum discussions despite time difference.

Hi gents

Just saw jesus and marychain during the week. Awesome gig. They were as chatty as ever - not!! but played for about an hour and 20 minutes of pure musical noise and bliss. W Ried just wailed his guitar like a blues man on fire combined with the wall of drums, bass and vocals.

My next big gig I am looking forward to is obviously Foxx!!. Can't wait.
