hi. i'm alec. i'm from san francisco, cali, u.s.a. i've been a foxx enthusiast over half my life now, i think. i like all the releases he's been involved in from 1970s onwards. i don't have a favorite at present. although, i'm really hung up on "enter the angel part 2," "lumen de lumine," and "underwater flowers." no, that's not true. i do have definite favorites. my all-time favorite foxx tracks are "blurred girl," "tidal wave," "030," "you were there," "infinite in all directions," and "quiet city."

i hope to see live foxx and/or foxx/gordon! sometime!

i also make music so i must do a little self promoting. it can be found at http://myspace.com/theembryocompilations, fourth track down. it's called 'allatu song.'

i also make music with hans-joachim roedelius (of cluster, harmonia, etc.), some of which can be found at
http://www.spaceformusic.com/roedelius/
and
http://www.psychonavigation.com/

anyway, happy to join you all! -alec smile

Hi, RadioBeach. Thank you. smile Yes, that one CD and we've collaborated on other tracks, too, one of which made it to his most recent comp.

Hey Alec. I noticed you are from SanFran. Those wildfires are unbelievable down south. Everything okay where you are?

hi, maryanne. thanks. it's fine up here but down in south, for a couple of days, people told me that the sky was burnt orange haze. which sounds kinda cool and scary. terrible about all the homes, ranches, farmland, etc., etc. + the fact that it is now being considered that there was arson involved is, shall we say, rather odd. i'll leave it at that. wink

Its been in the news in England too. Mad business really, an area the size of NYC was covered by it. confused
Posted By: maryann Re: hi - 10/25/07 11:39 PM
Yeah, we just heard about the arson story here.

pretty massive, yes. it's worth seeking out the satellite coverage. there was one pic i saw that reminded me, just slightly, of some of the aerial photos from iraq -- some of the smoldering freedom our tax money went towards.

OOPS! eek I need to start remembering stuff! What's my name again!? laugh
Posted By: alec Re: hi - 11/21/07 03:25 PM
"what's my name?" makes me think of prince, tilting his head, squinting his eyes, mic hand pinky finger in the air. + a gold mic. cool

Garry, when you get up to my age, an hour goes by like a minute and you can't remember anything from one second to the next. smile
