Hi I'm off to the Liverpool gig tomorrow night. Just wondering who's going and is there a place that Foxx fans are meeting at before the gig?
hi,
good question...any idea what time they'll be on?
is their a support?
Support is from Tara Busch. Not sure what time she will be on though.
As a non-Liverpudlian - and at the risk of sounding like I'm teaching my grandmother to suck eggs - there's some good watering places on or next to Parr Street (as recommended to me by a native there). This one was pretty good if you fancy an interesting bar/cafe atmosphere:
http://studio2liverpool.co.uk/2.html- If you're past your useful-by date, then don't be put off by its "great place for young professionals" reviews online - when I was there with me flat-cap on, supping brown ale, eating a pie and throwing me darts some real old-school Jazz-Melly geezers were casually putting their gear together for their set - sadly I had to leave for another gig.
There are a couple of pictures of the guys on stage in Liverpool here

This is the first chance I've had to give any feedback on last night's gig.
Tara Busch. Interesting songs. Her voice is quite operatic in style, very powerful. The audience seemed to appreciate her.
What can I say about John and co. A great performance. Benge keeps a low profile doing his thing at the back of the stage. Ably supported by Serafina Steer and Hannah Peel,John was on top form.
Stand out tracks for me were No-one Driving,Evergreen,Catwalk and Summerland. All in all a great night. As one wag shouted inbetween songs, "John, you're a legend!".He wasn't wrong.
