OK, so its a bit of fun. Or not.
Wingnuts welcome :-P

We 'created' a John Foxx Olympic themed album in the summer.
(A Long Way, No-One Swimming.... etc)

So if there was to be a Christmas album (which there isn't!)
what tracks would be on it?

When It Snows, for example?

Be as silly as you like, but don't be rude.
That's not nice.

Silent Night its the one for me, evocative of just about everything from childhood at Christmas time, and anything at all that John wanted to do be it with or without a religious aura it would be welcome regardless as I'm sure he'd distinctly illuminate the spine-tingling emotive resonance. According to wiki the UN have declared it as being of intangible cultural heritage and a 'human treasure', seems very apt.

We are a growing and vibrant international Political Action Committee dedicated to Keeping Foxx Out of Christmas. Our large, one member group thinks it would be a cheesy Rod Stewart-like move for John to make a Christmas album. Join us in registering your disapproval for this ill conceived idea.

You might be a tad too late.

Drats! We may have lost the battle but we, the upright citizens who have dedicated our lives to Keeping Foxx Out of Christmas, shall not lose the war! We shall redouble our efforts and fight as we have never fought before to prevent similar travesties which would be an affront to music lovers everywhere.

I apologise for this in advance.
It will doubtless ruin the song for everyone.

Entirely fictional account of lyrics written (not) by a six year old Dennis Leigh after a seasonal encounter one cold Lancashire winter evening...

Someone stood beside me for a moment in my room
Red suit, big white beard and a 'ho-ho-ho' he boomed
I heard a rumble in the chimney
And a reindeer herd came through
There was tinsel on his fingtertip
And I knew it must be him
It's him!
The Man Who Comes Once A Year...

I'd never seen him walk in
I never saw him leave
He took a long look at my list and told me to "believe"
I asked him for a brand new bike and toys from outer space
I never thought he existed 'til I saw his face
It's him!
The Man Who Comes Once A Year...

I always laid awake at night just listening for the sleigh
A mincepie and a little drink to help him on his way
Presents underneath the tree
To shake and smell and feel
The ghosts of Christmas come and go
but Santa Claus is real!
He's here
The Man Who Comes Once A Year...

Surely "ROckWrok-ing Around the Christmas Tree" or "Jingle Bell ROckWrok".
