Does anyone know anything about this band?

I'm just assuming that they've named themselves after the B-side to 'Dancing Like A Gun' - could just be a coincidence of course.

The description of this lot;

interests me too - not heard them either!

Cant really add worthwhile info about 'Swimmer One', but i know the've been around quite a while. About eight months ago i was looking at all things Foxxy, and one of their singles came up in the search. I discovered them on ebay before anywhere else. confused

Here's a quote from the band's website, following their invitation to open for John and Louis:-

This is slightly short notice, we know, but Swimmer One have been asked to support electropop pioneer John Foxx on the Glasgow date of his current (and, possibly, last ever) tour. We’ve said yes, obviously.
There is, apparently, a John Foxx B-side called Swimmer 1. We didn’t actually know this, but we’re flattered that he wrote a song about us years before we even existed.

Thanks Martin,

How strange that by complete chance, they should choose that name and end up supporting Foxx!

I appreciate their sense of humor and honesty.

I was blown away by their support of John Foxx in Glasgow.
I would highly recommend their debut cd-"The Regional Variations",which I reviewed on iTunes recently.I saw them live again in Edinburgh 2 weeks ago and they were fantastic.

This is what Oulipo calls anticipatory plagiarism. :-)
