I'm devastated to hear of his death. Just bought his new album on Friday. His 69th birthday. He didn't look to good in the video for his new song but I didn't expect this. R.I.P

In case he does not resurrect tomorrow like Lazarus, I'll say he was the greatest showman in the history of pop music. The last movie where he acted ("Bandslam", 2009) came recently in Finnish television.

It's been the shock more than anything. All completely unexpected. But he was always good at that sort of thing. He was arguably at his best when he shocked us.

Good morning. It's Friday on my mind!

Just found this is a 1980 interview with Bowie in the NME:

Angus MacKinnon: Obvious questions which I suppose I'm obliged to ask - what do you think of Gary Numan and John Foxx and all the other little Diamond Dog clones?

David Bowie: I only have opinions on them because I've been asked about them; I never had any before. I've already been asked once about Numan over the last month.
Foxx - I think he gives himself a wider berth; I think there's more diversity in what he does and could do.
